June 20, 2005
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Hartford Financial Services (hig) said late Monday that it has been subpoenaed again by New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer over the insurer's group annuity products. The inquiry relates to broker compensation arrangements in connection with the sale of annuities, Hartford added in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing. The company said it had already received subpoenas from Spitzer and Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal relating to group annuities. Hartford said it continues to cooperate with the inquiries.
