The Hartford Replaces Chief Investment Officer
October 7, 2008
The Hartford Financial Services Group, buffeted by soured investments, named Greg McGreevey as an executive vice president and its new chief investment officer Monday, replacing Dave Znamierowski, who is leaving the company.
McGreevey joined a subsidiary in August called Hartford Investment Management Co. as chief investment officer for insurance portfolios. He had been vice chairman and executive vice president at ING Americas.
Znamierowski had been The Hartford's chief investment officer since November 2001.
Ramani Ayer praised Znamierowski's dedication but said considering how the recent financial market turmoil has affected the company, "we agree that it would be best to bring a fresh perspective to our investment operations."
